Ruth Vetter, a lifelong philanthropic citizen of Madison, is donating to the UW Board of Regents, a 25 acre parcel of wooded land which has been in the family for generations. For years, Ms Vetter has continued the family legacy of preserving that 25 acre parcel of woods undeveloped. With the City of Madison designating this area as green space, it helped shape Ruth Vetter's legacy planning and visions for environmental preservation. Through her gift, the family legacy could continue to be of benefit to the University / University Research Park, and neighborhood for generations to come as the City of Madison grows and development expands.
