Description

Exact Sciences is an early stage molecular diagnostics company focused on colorectal cancer.  We are seeking a dedicated scientist to work in the laboratory to assist with our R&D efforts.

 

Our preferred candidate will have:

·         Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field plus a minimum of 2 years industry experience.

·         Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques.

·         Basic knowledge of statistical/mathematical methods in biology/genetics.

·         Ability to interface and work effectively within team and department.

·         Experience in a biotech manufacturing environment, preferably in a GMP/ISO environment.

·         Working knowledge of PCR and molecular biology.

·         Working knowledge of genomic databases and software.

·         Previous experience working in a molecular diagnostics/clinical laboratory setting.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Plans, prepares, conducts, records and analyzes results of bench level experiments within a specific product or technology area.

·         Performs lab work to support assay development and meet product design goals while following defined protocols and company procedures.

·         Prepares reports and documentation providing the interpretation, analysis or summarization of results as related to product/process development and improvement.

·         Works within established parameters on assignments or with others as appropriate to meet objectives for longer-term projects.
